I know how scary the world is right now, so I hope this letter makes you feel less alone in these uncharted waters.
Late last week, we asked our employees at our Los Angeles HQ to work from home. We’re figuring out what life (and meetings) look like in this new scenario, but we certainly feel fortunate to have the type of jobs that allow us to work remote.
We also made the necessary decision to close our Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York stores for the time being. All of our Liaisons (those from our stores and our online business) are reachable via chat, email, and phone, and our online shop remains unaffected with orders shipping daily.
As the place where our shoes are made, Italy is an extension of our home base, and we are happy to share that our employees and partners there are in good health. Until the end of next week, 10% of all proceeds will be donated to the Italian Red Cross.
We recognize that the situation is worsening here as well, and we know that this is an anxious time for everyone reading this. We share with you in that. If you ever just need to talk, about shoes or about life, give us a call or send us a message.
In terms of what else you’ll be hearing from us, we plan to continue to send out our normal communication. We know that shopping isn’t top of mind for most, but we hope those messages can be a momentary escape from this incredibly difficult time.
