We're recognizing five companies that offer outstanding employee benefits for mothers, and women who might want to become mothers, leading up to Mother’s Day on May 13.
Friends With Benefits, is meant to applaud brands who are raising the bar in the maternal benefits space, and encourage other brands to follow suit.
The brands Tamara Mellon is recognizing are as follows:
Patagonia, for paying for nannies or partners to accompany new mothers and their babies on business trips
Netflix, for unlimited paid parental leave for the first year after birth or adoption
Spotify, for covering costs for egg freezing and fertility assistance
Estée Lauder, for righting a wrong and granting maternity leave to adoptive mothers, in addition to biological and surrogate mothers

We want to hear from you. The fifth company recognized will be chosen by the Tamara Mellon community. Monday, May 7 8 am PST through Sunday, May 13 11:59 pm PST, women can nominate their employers on Instagram, adding why they think their company is an innovator around benefits for working mothers. Tamara Mellon will gift up to 50 pairs of Frontline shoes to the women in the company with the most nominations.
As a young company, I believe it’s important to look to other businesses who are investing in and paving the way for working women. We are deeply committed to women’s issues, and we also understand that the largest impact will come from many companies working together. This will build a culture that supports working women in all areas, from diversity in leadership, to pay equity, to maternal benefits.
The Friends With Benefits initiative will kick off on the @TamaraMellon Instagram starting on Monday, May 7.
